Please join us with an optional donation to the Global Seva Challenge India, an annual project of Off the Mat, Into the World (OTM). The Seva Challenge is a transformational journey that builds community, provokes awareness and action around global issues, and raises significant funds to support communities in crisis. Since 2007, the Seva Challenge has raised over two million dollars for projects in Cambodia, Uganda, South Africa and Haiti. In 2012 the Seva Challenge will be focused on the issue of sex trafficking in India and worldwide.
One of the biggest human rights violations in the world today is sex trafficking. Millions of young girls are kidnapped, transported across borders, and beaten into submission until they have no will to fight. Elyse Acanda has committed to raise $20,000 this year to assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of victims of sex trafficking in India and worldwide.
To show your support, please attend this Karma Class, make a donation, and/or buy wristbands and t-shirts/tanks. This class is open to everyone and will be held on June 30 at 4:30 pm at BOA Martial Arts (930 Bragg Road).
